2008 State Event Final Results

Congratulations to the following students who competed in the state Science Olympiad tournament in Madison on Saturday April 12.  From SIS: Sha Li, Kate Hayes, Seth Jensen, Soren Zweifel, Keith Dodd, Henry Sanders, Sofia Jonas, Elliot Kucharczyk, Drew Antle, Jay Tomasiewicz, Kevin Weisling, Tim Perry, Dominic Triliegi, Maddie Reed, Antoine Davis, Jay Franke, Hans Gaebler, James Keane, Alex McMurtry, Ben Kuhlmann, and Harvey Buckner
From Lake Bluff: Mali Bria, Quinton Thomas, Sam Tharpgeorge,
and From the High School: Kara Holton, Olivia Thomas, Chris Bazar, and Maren Banda.

The team would like to also recognize the following medal winners: Sofia
Jonas and Keith Dodd who placed 3rd in Crave the Wave, Chris Bazar and
Dominic Triliegi who placed 3rd in Ecology, Tim Perry and Dominic Triliegi
who placed 6th in Meteorology, Keith Dodd and Drew Antle who placed 3rd in Meteorology, Maren Banda and Tim Perry who placed 2nd in Metric Mastery, and Chris Bazar and Dominic Triliegi who placed 5th in Rocks and Minerals.

Many thanks are due to: all of our chaperones: Carol Holton, Deb Thomas,

Congratulations to the 2007-2008 Science Olympiad Team members who competed January 26th in a regional competition in Oshkosh Wisconsin. The following students participated: Sha Li, Mali Bria, Seth Jensen, Soren Zweifel, Keith Dodd, Olivia Thomas, Maren Banda, Quinton Thomas, Sofia Jonas, Kara Holton, Drew Antle, Jay Tomasiewicz, Sam ThorpGeorge, Kevin Weisling, Tim Perry, Dominic Triliegi, Jonathan Hewitt, Maddie Reed, Antoine Davis, Shayna Smith, Jay Franke, Zan Song, James Keane, Alex McMurtry, Ben Kuhlman, Harvey Buckner, and Chirs Bazar.

Elliot Kucharczyk, Hans Gaebler, Henry Sanders, and Kate Hayes will be joining the team as well for the state competition April 12 in Madison.

We would also like to recognize the following placing finishes: Kevin Weisling and Tim Perry placed 1st in Bio Process Lab, Keith Dodd and Sofia Jonas placed 1st in Crave the Wave, Chris Bazar and Sha Li placed 1st in Metric Mastery, Kevin Weisling and James Keane placed 2nd in Road Scholar, Olivia Thomas and Jay Tomasiewicz placed 2nd in Food Science, Kara Holton and Drew Antle placed 2nd in Oceanography, Keith Dodd and Drew Antle placed 3rd in Meteorology, and James Keane built a tower that placed 3rd in Tower Building.
